Visual identity of the exhibition by designer Pavla Vachunová / TYFORMY studio entitled VE SVĚTLE TMA (WITHIN THE LIGHT DARKNESS)

WITHIN THE LIGHT DARKNESS is a poetic exploration of hidden beauty and the discovery of new values through female intuition and the ability to perceive the world in both detail and entirety. Vachunová explores the structural and formal limits of the material. She also examines the impact of colour, shading her objects with glaze, applying calligraphic colouring, and juxtaposing white porcelain with pieces tinted with black pigments, creating visually striking and aesthetically rich artifacts.

I considered how to approach capturing the mystery and sensuality in the exhibited works when artist herself asked me to create a graphic design for her exhibition. I create elements selected from photos of her objects, and assembled them into the word "TMA" (DARKNESS). This word then goes with the exhibition's graphic elements throughout its visual representation. Posters, invitations, banners, text about the exhibition and the author (for the installation), brochures, and posts for social media would all be a part of this project.

The visual identity blue hue is derived from the designs created by the exhibition's architect Radka Vyplašilová, an interior designer and scenographer. The curator of the exhibition was Veronika Marešová (GASK / Gallery of Central Bohemian Region).
